Personal Remembrances

Guy B. Taylor entered Clemson in 1912 and left after completing his junior year to enroll in the Medical College on Charleston South Carolina from which he graduated (MD) in April 1917.  He immediately went on active duty with the US Navy as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade).  Taylor was later promoted to Lieutenant.  He was stationed at the Naval Training School in Washington DC.  Later he was sent to hospitals in Miami, Ireland and France.  He returned to the United States on December 1, 1918 and died January 23, 1919 from Spanish Influenza and pneumonia.
