He was married to the former Gladys Ashburn of Kingstree.  He was also survived by his parents, Mr. John D. Britton and Mrs. Bessie Swann Britton, and one sister, Mrs. Boyce W. Baker.

Williamsburg Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Kingstree, SC. He was originally buried in the Netherlands AMC, but his remains were returned to the United States in October 1945.

Additional Information

After leaving Clemson he was employed as a salesman for Corn Products Co., with headquarters in Atlanta GA.  He resigned to volunteer for service in the US Army and later volunteered for service in the paratroups and at Fort Benning, Ga.
